Yadira Rios Gibson graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1998, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2001.
Ms. Gibson is a Member of the State Bar of Nevada; State Bar of California; and the State Bar of Illinois. She is also a Member of the Clark County Bar Association; Chicago Bar Association; the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; American Bar Association; and the Latino Bar Association. Ms. Gibson is also admitted to practice before the District of Nevada; the Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals and the
Northern District of Illinois.
Ms. Gibson is a dedicated attorney with more than ten (10) years of experience managing and defending diverse legal issues related to bankruptcy law, employment and labor law, homeowner foreclosures, corporation formation, real estate law, construction law and general civil litigation. She advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters arising under federal and state law, including claims based upon Title VII, FLSA, FMLA and ADA. Her practice focuses on representing management in employment litigation of all kinds, e.g., employment discrimination, wage and unfair competition. Ms. Gibson counsels clients in wage and hour compliance, discipline and termination, sexual harassment, training and other employee relations issues. Her construction law experience includes, but is not limited to, project guidance, structuring and negotiating project financing, mechanics liens and contract negotiations.
